The Illusion of Freedom: Why You're Not as Free as You Think

Hey folks, it's Earnest Mann, and today we're tackling a fiery topic sparked by Clint from Abilene, Texas. He’s pissed off about my so-called lack of patriotism and wants to know how in the hell I can say we’re not free. Well, Clint, buckle up because I’m breaking it all down.

The Harsh Reality of American Freedom

HL Mencken once wrote that anyone who thinks they’re free in America is either blind or stupid, and honestly? That statement still holds up today. The idea that we have absolute freedom is a dangerous illusion. The truth is, unless you're an oligarch like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos, you live under a system where everything is conditional—your property, your job, your income. We operate on an or else basis: work or starve, comply or lose everything.

The System is Rigged for the Ultra-Rich

The laws aren't designed to protect your autonomy, but rather the autonomy of those who actually own this country. This is why billionaires and political elites can skirt accountability, while the average American can lose everything overnight. Think you own your house? Miss a few payments or get hit with a tax lien, and you'll find out just how much "ownership" you really have.

Patriotism vs. Nationalist Delusion

I’m not against people loving their country, but blind flag-waving nationalism? That’s a dangerous road, one that historically leads to regimes like Mao’s China, Mussolini’s Italy, or Hitler’s Germany. If being patriotic means ignoring reality and blindly believing in a system that works against you, count me out.

The Bottom Line: If You’re Being Controlled, You’re Not Free

If the government can tax your property, seize your assets, or dictate what you can and can’t do with your own possessions, then no—you’re not free. You’re a pseudo-citizen wage slave. And if you still think otherwise, well, enjoy riding America’s Crazy Train.

With friends, as with many other things in life, I desire quality over quantity, and I have absolutely no tolerance for bullshit.

I'm seeking to build a community of Intelligent thinkers daring to discuss, what the hell really needs to be openly discussed.

Please consider, that by visiting my website and donating to this show, you're supporting an actual financially challenged (pleasant speak for being fucking broke) person, not some mega corporation, that wouldn't know human compassion if it hit them over they're fucking head.

Thank you for taking the time, to read this, and remember to avoid anyone spewing bullshit as much as possible, your life will be far better for it. Earnest
