Mental illness can take so much from you relationships, self-esteem, experiences even simply the ability to feel joy, or feel anything at all. That's why it's no wonder that people who suffer from OCD (or anxiety, or depression, or anything in between) may sometimes think to themselves, "If I just didn't have anxiety, I could be happy." Or, "If I just didn't have OCD, my life would be incredibly different."

These feelings are VALID and INCREDIBLY real, but what do you do with them once you've felt them? How do you move forward?

In this episode, we'll dive into a different perspective that can help those who struggle with mental health difficulties find hope and fall in love with being who they are again. We'll also discuss:

  • How mental health changes your life
  • How to stop yourself from getting into the "what ifs"
  • The freedom that comes from believing things couldn't have, or should have, been any different
  • Allowing yourself to mourn and grieve
  • Moving towards acceptance
