We discuss the action spectacle of 'Aliens,' and Cameron's legacy as an escapist blockbuster filmmaker, as well as how he struggles to totally realize his commentaries of a marine-Vietnam satire, the motherhood ideas, and the power dynamics of Weyland-Yutani via Burke. Regardless of the movie's contradiction, the film's action set pieces make this Sigourney Weaver-led film a memorable one, especially when Ellen Ripley leads an iconic ensemble into battle next to legendary character actors like Bill Paxton.
