We continue our slate of episodes looking back at the films of 2024 by covering two films at once! SPEAK NO EVIL was a Dutch horror nightmare written and directed by Christian Tafdrup that shook audiences with its bold, horrific narrative in 2022. Last year, James Watkins adapted an American remake starring James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis that drastically changed the final third of the story and reframed some differing themes.

We're joined by friend of the show, writer and director of last year's What You Wish For, Nicholas Tomnay for a thoughtful and insightful discussion of the film's fascinating and complex themes, including our unwillingness to speak up when we're in awe of charismatic figures and our inability to break free from clear and present danger when we're worried about social norms.

Also featuring a Patron-only segment where Lackey the Listicle counts down the 8 greatest horror remakes of all time, this is a hearty and fun conversation that we hope you all enjoy.
