New data shows companies are not leaving the defense industrial base as often as many believe. Research from the Baroni center for government contracting at the George Mason University suggests that the defense industrial base is healthy, that competition remains strong, and companies are, in fact, not exiting the market, but shifting their approaches to ensure success.
