Dr. David Zeevi is an independent research fellow at Rockefeller University in New York. His current work focuses on developing computational methods for studying microbial ecology in the human gut and in the marine environment, and its contribution to human and environmental health.
His Ph.D. assessed the genetic, lifestyle, metabolic, and microbial profiles of over 800 individuals to develop an algorithm to predict the glycemic response of the individual to particular meals.
This groundbreaking research was highly successful and is a major step towards developing completely personalised nutrition.
