Our final speaker is Rowan Daymond, who takes us on a behind-the-scenes look at the incredibly successful LIV Golf tournament held in Adelaide, South Australia 2023. After developing a passion for golf at a young age, it wasn’t until Rowan fell into an apprenticeship at 16 years old that he found a passion for producing high-quality surfaces within the golf market. Having worked at smaller country clubs to some of the best-known in South Australia and the world, Rowan has spent 22 years taking satisfaction from seeing staff excel and develop their skills, and our members get the best from their golfing experiences. Rowan has a skillset that stretches from the finer details of turf maintenance, short/long term planning, setting and maintaining budgets, irrigation systems scheduling and installation, tournament preparation, stakeholder engagement, fleet management, and managing committee expectations all the while meeting the needs of his 32 staff.
