Dr. Anne Snowdon is a well-known expert in healthcare innovation and supply chain management. She serves as the Chief Scientific Research Officer at HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), a global organization focused on improving health through information and technology. She is also a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, and the Scientific Director and CEO of SCAN Health (Supply Chain Advancement Network in Health). Her work largely centers on advancing healthcare supply chain systems, digital health, and health system sustainability, including significant research on how these elements supported responses to the COVID-19 pandemic across multiple Canadian provinces.
Her credentials include a PhD in Nursing from the University of Michigan, an MSc from McGill University, and a BScN from Western University. Beyond HIMSS, she holds roles such as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Alberta Innovates and is a member of the Health Futures Council at Arizona State University. She’s published over 140 research articles, secured substantial research funding, and even holds patents, including one for a booster seat product for children.
