This week on The Game Dev Show we host the legendary Riot and League of Legends Shoutcaster, and Content Specialist, David Turley.
David takes us through his journey from outcast at school, to being cheated as a Warcraft 3 Pro Player, joining Riot at the beginning of the League of Legends phenomenon, and going on to be synonymous with shoutcasting through his work with, arguably, the world's largest competitive game.
We also discuss the power of data and automation in community management, what it's like to feature in The Simpsons and Ballers, off-meta picks, the importance of unpredictability in games and sports, and how David prepares for shoutcasting a world championship.
