This is our interview with Canadian Director of Photography Jessica Lee Gagné, the visionary behind the striking visuals of Severance, the Apple TV+ original series. In Season 2, she makes her directorial debut with Episode 7, entitled Chikhai Bardo, and we dive into the intricacies of her work—exploring the meticulous attention to detail that shapes the dual worlds of Severance, from the sterile halls of Lumon to the eerie town of Kier. We also geek out over her favourite lenses and techniques, and she shares what she set out to express about herself through her directorial debut.
