Tim starts the show with thoughts on Douglas Murray’s recent and peculiar criticism of “non-experts” on the Joe Rogan Show.

We then begin a long conversation on the question of moral indifference and the balance between bearing witness to suffering and the ethical imperatives to act, drawing connections between past and present global issues. The basis of the conversation is Elie Wiesel’s book Night. In it Wiesel shares the memories of the death of his family, and the death of his innocence as a Jew suffering in a WWII concentration camp. In addition, we discuss Wiesel’s 1999 White House Speech, The Perils of Indifference.
