I share some personal memories about the Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA - site of this year's U.S. Open during Father's Day weekend. My FAVORITE Golf Course - thanks to good friend Larry Young for the times I got to play there with him.
I also share below some links to interesting articles related to this year's U.S. Open - information about the amazing final round 63 that Johnny Miller shot at Oakmont in 1973 - and about the "undercover" tree restoration project that was done at Oakmont to remove 3,500 trees from the course!
