Are you letting God comfort you?

We’ve all done it—scanning our circumstances like a spiritual weather report. Checking our job, our health, and our bank account to figure out, “Does God still love me? Is He blessing me or holding back?”

But comfort doesn’t come from your circumstances. It comes from Christ in you.

You don’t need to beg for God’s love. You don’t have to earn His forgiveness. And you sure don’t need to perform to be comforted. Your union with Jesus is full and final—no interruptions, no conditions.

  3. Which of the Scriptures on God’s forgiveness means the most to you? Why?

  5. Which of the Scriptures on God’s comfort means the most to you? Why?
  6. React to this statement: God has freed me, so I can truly live free!
  7. What choices could you make to fully enjoy the forgiveness, comfort, and freedom of God’s grace?
