Ammonia fertilizer has revolutionized agriculture, and is essential to our world food supply. But currently this ammonia is produced from natural gas and leads to heavy carbon emissions – this sector alone accounts for 1.2% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Clean ammonia can be made from green hydrogen, which is produced from water and renewable electricity, allowing us to feed the world’s population while protecting the planet.
