This week, we pause our current "I Am..." series to mark the final Sunday of our association with The BIC Church Collective (formerly The Meeting House) before moving on to a new partnership with Connect City. Sarah Lyew is joined by Jimmy Rushton in conversation about gratitude, mourning, and marking significant moments in a community's history. Just a brief programming note that, as much of the morning's teaching time was interactive and in the foyer, only the preliminary discussion was captured here.

In case you were wondering where last week's episode went to, we missed our opportunity to meet due to some nasty weather here in Newmarket, Ontario. That's why there was no upload for February 16th.

Home Church Questions:

1. What stood out to you from the teaching?

2. Read Genesis 28:10-22 and Joshua 4. What stands out to you from these passages?

3. Why do you think these 'pause' moments exist?

4. What were some moments where you saw God show up or answer prayer in your home church or in our community?

5. Who are the people God has used in your life over the past (up to) 13 years as a community? How did they impact you?

6. Often there were promises made in connection to creating markers. For Jacob, it was that God had chosen him. For Joshua, it was God’s faithfulness in crossing the Jordan. If you were to lay down a stone this week, what are the promises you would be remembering/holding?

7. Pray with and for one another.
