SURPRISE! Welcome to our Season 1 anniversary episode 🥂. It’s a window into where I am in my healing journey one year after publishing The H.I. Note podcast.
I was so nervous to deliver this keynote talk at The Next Practice Institute in November 2024! It was challenging for many reasons:
(1) It’s my FIRST ever full-length keynote talk
(2) It was one week after the U.S. presidential election, and I was devastated by the outcome. Feeling crushed made it hard for me to be in a forward-looking mindset. Instead of giving up hope, though, I chose to speak openly and vulnerably about healing and cyclebreaking leadership–in my life, in my work, and in our nation.
(3) I had pulled near all-nighters re-writing parts of my keynote to meet the moment
And yet, I did it! Discussing healing with you and all the Season 1 guests of The H.I. Note for the past year gave me the confidence to deliver this talk.
As I’ve said before, I’m SO GRATEFUL to YOU, the listeners, and everyone who helped make this podcast dream of mine a reality. I can't believe it's already been a YEAR!
It’s a gift that keeps on giving. Please "re-gift" it by SHARING this episode with your community 🙏🏾.
Much appreciation & much love everyone.
