Oxidative stress happens when harmful molecules called free radicals build up in the body and overwhelm our natural defenses. When this happens, it can damage the cells that make up eggs and sperm, leading to poor quality, lower fertilization rates, and reduced chances of a healthy pregnancy. Eggs may lose their ability to mature properly, and sperm may become less mobile or have damaged DNA. The good news is, there’s a solution. By supporting the body’s natural antioxidant systems—through targeted nutrition, lifestyle changes, and expert care—oxidative stress can be reduced, helping to protect and improve egg and sperm quality for better fertility outcomes.
