In this episode of The Hoodoo Factory we discuss the episode The Breakup. This is the second of three episodes in our “Dave and Lisa” unit. Part A is the gameshow portion of the Hoodoo experience. In the ABSA Fever round we’ll discuss some of our favorite scenes, quotes, keepsakes, and more. In the Marty Party round we’ll discuss our answers to these hard hitting questions:

  • Is it The Real Deal (I buy it) or The McNeal Perspective (I’m selling it)
    • Bill stopped harassing Catherine on her birthday after Catherine used Bill’s birth certificate to do something “super duper sweet” for Bill on his birthday.
    • Matthew senses Dave and Lisa have a connection, and then tracks down Bill’s birth certificate. It’s Matthew’s most competent day of work in the entire series.
    • “The Break Up” is a good title for this episode.
    • Bill is the worst dressed main cast character in this episode.
  • Have an Adequate Day by playing “would you rather”
    • Would you rather have your first name be a traditionally gendered name for the opposite sex OR Have the same name as a popular, instantly recognizable somewhat divisive celebrity?
    • Would you rather have everyone at your job assume, and openly make frequent jokes, that you and a co-worker are cheating on your jealous spouses with each other (you are not) OR have a secret affair at work (both single) but have to make up excuses and lies to cover it up at least twice a day, and may get caught?
    • Would you rather have your assistant tell everyone unflattering details about your relationship with a co-worker OR have a meeting with your boss and co-worker about concerns over you and your co-worker dating?
    • Would you rather have a co-worker that constantly tries to finish your sentences OR Have a co-worker who, every time you hand something to another person, will ask, “What was that?”
    • Bonus consequence: Have a mildly embarrassing detail about yourself get posted on Twitter by someone with a large number of followers.

We hope you’ll play along. Feel free to tweet us your answers by tagging @Hoodoo_Factory on Twitter. Come back Thursday for Part B where we’ll discuss the episode in greater detail.
