“If there’s something that I really want to do, I figure out a way to get it done. I also knew this was a brand new environment for me, I was still creating my reputation so this was my opportunity if I wanted to make a name for myself.” Today I am featuring one of my best friend’s sisters, Katia Ratkovich. Katia studied at the University of California, Davis and began her career as a technical recruiter. Due to her passion for connecting with people and helping them grow, she decided to take her career to the next level at LinkedIn where she worked on its University Recruiting team. After working at a large, well-oiled machine of a company, Katia wanted to make her mark in a more ambiguous space. This drive brought her to Splunk where she created its first University Recruitment program that has now gone global! In this episode, we discuss how to prove yourself in an organization, how your network is your currency, how classical music makes you smarter, and morning routines to optimize your day. - Devin Skolnick, @devskolnick on Twitter / devskolnick on LinkedIn Guest - Katia Ratkovich, kratkovich on LinkedIn Feedback [email protected] Become a supporter of this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theintersection/support --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theintersection/support
