Hello dear padawans!

This week we’re putting away the Walther PPK and dinner jackets in place of lightsabers and jedi robes.

Why? Search your feelings. You know it to be true!

The 5th (2nd?) Star Wars movie, The Empire Strikes Back has many connections to the world of James Bond, not least of which is a small role played by Julian Glover, who, as some listeners may recall, chatted with Matt and Edgar way back in the summer of 2018 at a comic convention. Then of course there is the film’s director, Irvin Kershner, who also helmed Never Say Never Again. We know, we know, that’s not a real Bond movie…

In celebration of May the 4th, Matt, Edgar, and Jason sit down and meditate about what is widely considered to be the best of the Star Wars epics. Among the Force visions that come to them: finding as many Bond tie ins as possible both real and imagined, watching the original trilogy on VHS, being distressed as a 2nd grader kid, parents noticing ads for Star Wars featuring (if you can believe it) actors that play in Star Wars, samurai/Nazi Darth Vader, Force zoom calls, speaking in tongues no human on Earth will ever use in a normal conversation, and much more.

So sit back, relax, and let us take you to a galaxy far, far away, but right now!

You love the show? We know.
