In this week's episode of the just MS show, I will discuss falling unconscious due to heat sensitivity and then having an out-of-body experience. It was pretty crazy overall but I'm okay thankfully.
The JustMS podcast was created as a resource for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients, their families and friends. Our goal is to give people information about ms and for those who are newly diagnosed better insight into what to expect and how to best cope with the process, which can be overwhelming and confusing. We recognize that MS is different for everyone, so we aim to provide a steady flow of information that covers a variety of topics on living with MS in today's world. The majority will be covering experiences our host, Justin Loizos has had. From DMTs, cannabis, HSCT (stemcell) the Wahls Protocol and other alternative therapies. He will also be conducting interviews with fellow multiple sclerosis patients and stakeholders. We will aim for us to all learn, heal, teach and grow together.

In addition to this, we've also seen a number of new clinical trials and research studies being conducted, which hold the promise of further progress in the fight against MS. On a personal note, it's been a year of growth and learning for me. I've had the opportunity to connect with so many amazing people in the MS community, and I've been inspired by their strength and resilience. She explains how it was in the very beginning of her journey with m.s. through to where she is at today. Heba has been able to keep optimistic, while also working on a dream project she feels she never would have if not for this illness. Her project and new occupation are being an author of children's books. Books that educate and uplift those in her community and beyond. Unfortunately due to an injury, Justin would sustain the day after the recording, he was not able to release this episode or conduct further interviews. Also, he was affected by the same temperatures of heat in his apartment that sent him to emergency the following night. While conducting this interview he was dealing withbthis heat issue. Thankfully Heba was able to help steer the conversation properly, and also help with technical issues behind the scenes. Below you will find more information about her in a short bio. Bio: Heba Subeh-Hyder is a resident of Southern California and a wife to a loving husband, and a mother of three wonderful girls. She has a Bachelor's degree in Management and Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona, where she was actively involved in the Muslim Student Association, and is currently working on another degree in Islamic Studies from California Islamic University. Heba has worked as an Executive Team Leader, Office Manager, led a few Islamic halaqas (study circles), and has spoken on panels aimed at educating the public regarding different topics on Islam. Her passion for the deen is what inspired her to be an author. She aims to nurture our youth's innate belief and love of Allah at a young age and to encourage reflection by taking them on adventures to discover Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala through His attributes. Play Later Play Later Lists Like LikedSend us a text In this episode Justin will be speaking about a new rehabilitation program that he will be starting in two days. The program will last six weeks and there will be two visits per week. Each visit will either be with a physiotherapist, social worker, or a occupational therapist. Justin has been here before. The first time he came to this facility for rehabilitation it was in 2014. He had great results due to the fact that he was committed to the program and the program is capable of having incredible results! The staff are trained professionals working for Toronto rehab. The facility has a great gymnasium built for neurological rehabilitation, there are also many rooms for occupational therapists too. With lots of apparatus and tools that can be used for rehabilitation. There are also speech pathologist on site Justin will not be seeing a speech pathologist and this visit, but he has in the past and has great results. This program is slightly shortened due to the back log that was caused by kovid.There's a pool in the facility that he has never used, before has thought about it but due to bladder issues. His bladder is now better due to medication, but I do not think he will be entering into the medicinal pool this is episode #12 and very excited to have another episode here with lots of updates with rehabilitation to come... The good doctor evaluated them to see if he needed this line of medication. Turns out that the doctor believes that he does not need them as he thinks the issues are primarily neurological. He touches on a couple techniques and a few medications he's tried along the way. Including some natural remedies cannabis cbd, and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms). He has seen improvements with anxiety after he stopped drinking coffee. There are a few other factors, but he feels the caffeine affects him negatively.
