In this vulnerable episode of The Kori Leigh Show podcast, I open up about a deeply personal story from my childhood that shaped my views on death, God, and life. At six years old, I experienced the traumatic loss of my father to a brain aneurysm during a family camping trip, an event that disrupted my entire perception of reality and divinity. I struggled with feelings of abandonment and anger towards God, leading to a convoluted relationship with faith. Fast forward to my adult years, where hitting rock bottom in alcoholism and facing further abandonment in my marriage forced me into a raw confrontation with my grief.

Through recovery I learned to depersonalize these life events, realizing that life is impersonal and simply unfolds. This shift in perspective allowed me to extract meaningful lessons from my experiences without internalizing the pain. Join me as I navigate these transformative insights, shedding light on the healing power of depersonalizing life's painful moments.
