ENCOUNTERS // Jesus Encounters Sin with Grace
Manage episode 498129440 series 3470159
In John 8:1–12, Jesus is confronted with a woman caught in adultery—used as bait in a trap set by religious leaders demanding judgment. But instead of condemning her, He turns the moment into a powerful lesson in grace, saying, “Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone.” One by one, the accusers walk away, and Jesus offers her both compassion and a call to transformation: “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.” This message explores what it means to lead with grace and truth in a world quick to judge. Through Jesus’ example—and a powerful modern story of redemption—you’ll discover what it looks like to drop the stones, face your own heart, and embody the light of Christ in your relationships, even in the midst of shame, failure, or conflict.
This sermon was recorded at a Sunday morning gathering at Church of the Lookout in Longmont, Colorado.
