The Hills of Home by Alfred Coppel
Manage episode 503864670 series 3334842

And some types (providing the subject is not suffering so extreme a case as to have crossed the border into psychosis) can be not only useful, but perhaps necessary for certain kinds of work…. The Hills of Home by Alfred Coppel. That’s next on The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast.
He may not have taken home any awards, but Alfred Coppel certainly knew how to tell a great story. He’s one of those hidden gems of science fiction—an author I only discovered after starting The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast. Before that, I’ll admit, his name wasn’t even on my radar. But digging into his work has been a real eye-opener.
You might recall some of his other stories we’ve already featured on the podcast—Captain Midas, Runaway, The First Man on the Moon, and The Flight of the Eagle.
