Show notes!

The history of The Choctaw and the Irish: Irish Return an Old Favor, Helping Native Americans Battling the Virus - The New York Times

The site I mentioned on the history of Woke (sorry, it is ad heavy!): Origin Of The Word WOKE, And Why It’s Now Controversial

Scottsboro Boys: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottsboro_Boys

The Vox article: What is woke: How a Black movement watchword got co-opted in a culture war | Vox

History of Juneteenth: The Historical Legacy of Juneteenth | National Museum of African American History and Culture

The Roger Ebert page I found to be so good: Then They Will Learn: The Truth Behind Juneteenth | Features | Roger Ebert (Yeah, Roger Ebert!)

The political podcast for all of us!
