Welcome back to the Million Dollar Stories Podcast! I’m your host, Mike Fallat, and today we have an incredibly inspiring guest joining us—Evan Dash, a man whose entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in values, integrity, and a relentless dedication to serving others. Evan is here to talk about his book, "A Dash of Good: How to Turn a Business Based on Values into a Valuable Business," where he shares his remarkable story of rising from setbacks to success.

Evan’s path to entrepreneurship wasn’t a straight line. After failing out of college, he began his career as a firefighter, where he learned the core values of selflessness, teamwork, and the importance of enriching others' lives. These values propelled him into corporate retail, where he climbed the ranks to become Senior Vice President at Macy’s. But despite his rapid ascent, Evan lost sight of what mattered most: the customer and the principles that had once guided him.

After being fired from Macy’s, Evan found himself at rock bottom. It was during this time of crisis that he rediscovered his purpose, betting on himself and building a business centered on enriching lives. In "A Dash of Good," Evan explains how he used the values he learned as a firefighter to create a kitchen products business focused on service, empathy, and community.

In today’s episode, Evan shares how he turned this value-driven mission into a successful enterprise, navigating challenges from financing and competition to eventually selling his company. We’ll dive deep into how a business built on serving others can create real value and why these principles are essential for long-term success. Evan’s story is proof that success doesn’t come from cutting corners but from sticking to the values that matter most.
