Have you ever pursued something you thought you wanted—only to realize it was costing you more than you realized?

In this episode, I’m sharing some of my real-time field notes on what it looked like to completely burn out while trying to “do it all” in Australia. If you're a listener of this show, you already know I'm committed to giving you the behind-the-scenes of what it actually looks like to grow a business, raise three young kids, and live a bi-continental life. Spoiler: it’s not always pretty.

We spent four months in Sydney earlier this year, and what started as a dreamy plan to “split our time” quickly unraveled. I hit burnout in ways I didn’t even recognize until we got back to Maine—and today, I’m walking you through what happened, what I learned, and how I’m recalibrating moving forward.

This is for the moms doing the most, the entrepreneurs navigating constant change, and the women out there trying to make it all work. You’re not broken. You might just need to realign.

Tune in to hear:

  • What led me to burn out in Australia (and why I didn’t see it coming)

  • How misaligned expectations at home created emotional overload

  • The surprising importance of rest—and what happened when I ignored it

  • Why unspoken agreements in marriage and parenting can derail everything

  • How Toby and I renegotiated the “invisible labor” in our household

  • What it really takes to thrive while mothering and running a business

  • What I changed after getting back home what's helping

  • An invitation to reflect: What agreements are no longer working in your life?
