Tonight we are reflecting on Dragon Spirit: The New Legend, a 1989 arcade port of the 1987 vertical shooter Dragon Spirit by Namco. Namco was responsible for other arcade classics like Pacman, Galaga and Dig Dug to name a few. The NES port was developed by Now Production and published by Namco in Japan but published by Bandai in North America. Now Production also created NES titles including Yo! Data East was responsible for porting popular arcade games to the NES like Burgertime, Karate Champ and Rampage. Tonight we are reflecting on the ambitious game, Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode, a 1988 story-based, action game that was co-developed by Vik Tokai and Sunseibu Entertainment. The game is based off of a popular manga series written and illustrated by Takao Saito that started back in 1968.
