Core stability and core strength are terms that are often used interchangeably.
In reality, core strength and core stability are two very different things and as such require two different approaches when it comes to training each of these optimally.

  • Exactly what your 'core' is and which muscles are involved;
  • What we mean when we talk about core stability; and
  • Why we need a different approach when it comes to training core strength vs core stability.

And no, a ripped 6-pack does not automatically mean you have good core stability! ;)
