In this episode, we discuss our experiences as international scholars and scholars from non-English backgrounds. Dr. Michael Mikulewicz, Assistant Professor in Climate Studies at SUNY-ESF, joins us to share his experiences as an editor, reviewer, and research advisor. Despite academia's global and borderless nature, it is still heavily influenced by language hegemonies, which limit access to knowledge production spaces, especially among scholars who do not speak English as a first language. Tune in for more. Go cop a copy of Dr. Mikulewicz's book, Climate Justice in the Majority World.
