This week, The Plotaholics discuss the 2018 modern day classic, 'A Star Is Born'--the fourth version of this film. It kind of feels insulting to call it a remake.
This version, as we all know, stars Bradley Cooper as Jackson Maine, a country rocker and how a chance meeting he finds the woman of his dreams in Ally, a singer/songwriter who takes an instant level of affection for him. Things come to a head when Jackson's progressive hearing loss and substance abuse disrupts Ally's rise to stardom.
Co-starring Sam Elliott, Dave Chappell, Eddie Griffin, and Andrew Dice Clay.
Not much can really be said. No gimmicks, no jokes, turn around and watch this film...after listening to this episode.
