Cam Heyward practiced yesterday, but did it mean anything? Was it a sign to the team that he is back? Is it winning him back any fans? The guys wondered if the player and team were any closer to a deal. We looked at a list of other notable DTs and how well they were playing, if at all, at Cam’s age. 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Gabe Davis was in and out of Pittsburgh for a second time without a deal and he then visited the Bills, his former team, today. Jeff expects the Steelers to keep exploring the WR market. Is Robert Woods safe to make the roster? The guys asked Jeff if he thinks the Steelers could have a ‘special’ connection between Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf this season. Did the starting unit show enough in training camp to make you feel good about Rodgers not playing at all in the preseason? Poni had Jeff react to the report that Dalton Risner was scheduled to visit the Steelers. Jeff talked about the leadership of Rodgers and the differences he has noticed between him and other Steelers QBs since Ben Roethlisberger. Will the middle of the field be used? Jeff doesn’t think Cam Heyward returning to practice is a sign that he caved in this negotiation process. Judge Donny.
