On this week’s episode of the Pure Uncut Recovery Podcast, we are hearing from Mollie Swanton

Mollie’s story is one of drive and determination to overcome the struggle. Her journey begins in New York City, growing up privileged as an only child and living on the 28th floor of a fancy Highrise in Manhattan on the upper Eastside. She recalls one of her earliest memories feeling incredibly alone at 5 years old and wishing she could be anywhere else as she learned to survive the madness, walking on eggshells, while on the surface everything appeared to be fine.

Mollie goes on to describe sugar as her first addiction and is bullied for her weight, causing her to be filled with anger and hate and is eventually introduced to drugs and alcohol at the age of 13, paving the way to countless overdoses and high-priced treatment centers in Florida and California. She learns that her father has passed away and left her a large sum of money. After blowing through most of her inheritance, she returns to yet another Florida treatment center and loses a close friend to an overdose, inspiring Mollie to gain momentum in her recovery, finding employment in a treatment and is now becoming a positive member of society…
