In Episode 12 Whispers in the Ice Nancy and Kael navigate Blackthorns fortress in search of a fragment of the Tree of Life As they delve deeper they encounter frozen horrors and remnants of Nancys fathers work designed to protect the shard Blackthorn taunts them and attempts to mislead Nancy with his magic but she remains determined guided by her compass They reach the fragment but Blackthorn attacks forcing Kael to defend Nancy With a combined effort they disrupt the runes binding the fragment unleashing a powerful energy that drives Blackthorn back They escape as the fortress collapses but Nancy realizes that Blackthorn remains a threat and possesses knowledge about her father As they venture into the Frozen Glade with the newly acquired fragment they remain resolute in their quest for the truth
