Wow, what a jam-packed episode for music lovers! If you want to be one degree closer to the Beatles, Nirvana, Martin Scorsese, Sebastian Bach, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage and more, THIS is the episode for you!

I was introduced to Jim by his daughter, and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and his expertise. He is as kind as he is knowledgeable and is equally generous in his enthusiasm sharing all he knows, while providing personal backstories akin to the best liner notes on any album! What a thrill for me to have him as my guest and I know listeners will find this one so fun, informative and legit by music industry standards!

Jim Berkenstadt is the Rock And Roll Detective®. A true musical Sherlock Holmes, he is an award-winning, bestselling author, who uncovers the lost history and mysteries hidden within decades of popular music. He recently optioned his award-winning bestseller, The Beatle Who Vanished to Ecosse Studios in London, England.

Jim served as historical consultant to: Martin Scorsese’s HBO Emmy winning film, George Harrison: Living in the Material World, to the late George Harrison, The Beatles’ Company Apple Corps, Olivia and Dhani Harrison and the Estate of Roy Orbison, and on several rock documentaries such as: Eight Days A Week; I Wanna Rock: The 80s Metal Dream, and the forthcoming film, If These Walls Could Rock. Jim located the long lost b-roll audio completing The Beatles’ new documentary Get Back on Disney+.

His work has appeared on HBO, Hulu, Disney+, Netflix and Paramount+. He appeared as an expert on the Reelz Channel TV series’ Celebrity Legacies and Celebrity Damage Control. He’s also served as a consultant to Grammy® Producer Butch Vig (Garbage, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, etc.)

Jim has several books: Black Market Beatles: The Story Behind Their Lost Recordings and Classic Rock Albums: Nirvana - Nevermind. His newest Gold Medal, award-winning, Amazon #1 bestseller is called Mysteries in the Music: Case Closed. All four books have been included in The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Permanent Library and Archives.
