Dr. Matt Kaeberlein is a leading researcher in aging biology, dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of aging and developing interventions to extend healthspan. He is the Chief Executive Officer at Optispan, Inc., an Affiliate Professor of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Washington, and Co-Director of the Dog Aging Project. With over 250 scientific publications, his work has earned numerous prestigious awards, including the NIA Nathan W. Shock Award and the Robert W. Kleemeier Award.

A Fellow of the AAAS, AGE, and GSA, Dr. Kaeberlein is the founding Director of the University of Washington Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute and has held leadership roles in major aging research initiatives, including as the former Director of the NIH Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), AGE, and GSA.

Through his leadership in the Dog Aging Project, Dr. Kaeberlein is advancing research on genetics and environmental factors in aging, with implications for both human and animal longevity. His work continues to shape the future of aging science, bringing evidence-based solutions to improve healthspan and quality of life.
