We are back in a BIG way for Episode 40 of ‘The Separation is in the Preparation’ podcast with New York Red Bulls II Kitman Hector Merino! Hector has been with the club on a fulltime basis since 2012, but has been involved in equipment operations there since he finished high school. Hector does so much behind the scenes to help players and staff have the tools they need to perform, but also is an incredible person and friend. Any player who has passed through the club can attest to how great of a guy Hec is, and I’m incredibly grateful for the friendship we formed while I was there. Hector shares a little bit about how he does his job so well, some of his strategies to deal with the pressure and stress of the job, and tells a few incredible stories.
