Tonight, on The Sound we bring you an exclusive look at the new album by Gregg Hall, titled Exit 222. The album will be available this Saturday, Oct 26 2024 as Gregg plays a release party at the Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts here in Winona. Based in La Crosse, WI, Gregg Hall is a local staple playing his brand of country and americana with his band The Wrecking Ball and with Minnesota country faves, The White Iron Band. If you’ve seen Gregg play you know that he’s the real deal and has the stories to prove it, and lucky for us, he puts those stories into his songs and this new record is no exception! In fact, there’s quite a story behind the making of this album, which, by the way, he traveled all the way to Nashville to record! But hey, yer ears don’t need me to bend ‘em anymore, let’s let Gregg do that as we listen through the album and hear some of the stories from Gregg himself! I’m Bill Stoneberg, sayin’ hold on ‘cause we’re about to leave the busy chaotic highway that is life as we take Exit 222 with Gregg Hall, tonight on The Sound.

Original air date: 10/23/24.
The Sound is written and produced by KQAL 89.5FM on the campus of Winona State University.
The Sound is made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
