Kim ‘Busty Beatz’ Bowers is a dynamic Music Director, Composer, Sound Artist, Music Dramaturg, and Performance Maker with over 25 years of fearless artistic creation. Of Xhosa heritage and based on Yuggera country, Kim crafts sonic experiences that blend disciplines, politics, and storytelling, amplifying voices often left unheard. At sixteen, she signed her first record deal, performing and touring for over a decade—a legacy highlighted in Sophie Howath’s Big Day Out book and the Women Who Rock exhibition.

Kim's compositions feature in films such as Amar (Fatima Mawas) and Love Bites (Jermaine D’Vauz, ABC/Screen Australia). Her theatrical sound design credits include Belvoir Street Theatre, Queensland Theatre, and London’s Roundhouse. Co-creator and Queen Bee of Hot Brown Honey, Kim continues to lead the revolution with powerful beats, creating soundscapes that resonate globally.
