Step right up for another rollicking installment of The Superman Super Show, as Ed and Steeven unravel the drama-packed tale of Carnahan’s Heir from Action Comics #24 (1940). This time, the Man of Steel confronts a scandalous web of high-stakes gambling, family fortunes, and a race against the electric chair!

When dying industrialist Rufus Carnahan makes a desperate plea for Superman to save his wayward son, Peter, from a life of gambling and disgrace, Superman leaps into action. But things go south fast: there’s a murder, a setup, and a race to prove Peter’s innocence before it’s too late. With the clock ticking, Superman bends steel, races against time, and even blacks out an entire prison to stop an unjust execution!

This is Superman at his Golden Age finest, blending street-level heroics with over-the-top feats of strength and cunning. Join Ed and Steeven as they dive into this nail-biting story, share their laughs, and explore just how Superman keeps his cape clean in such messy affairs.

Action Comics #24 was published by DC Comics in March, 1940.
