Hey folks – for those of you expecting Part 2 of A (very) Short History of Hell, I’m sorry to disappoint. However, this Sunday is Mother’s Day. I initially thought it might be an interesting challenge to combine topics, but more worthy thoughts won out. We’ll return to that topic another time. 🙂

This week we’re going to explore the noteworthy absence of “mother” images for the Divine within the context of the prevailing religious traditions that have formed much of the thinking about “God” in this part of the world, and consider how at least one exemplary parable might be different if we made some adjustments.

All of this and Kids Table, music and Community Time. If your plans for the day permit, please join us in-person at VA Cafe at 10:45 am this Sunday. You might have to forgo brunch, but I promise to be diligent about trying to end on time. 🙂

I’ll see you on Sunday.

Peace,

Tim Plett
