Justin Briner, 1/3rd of KW’s Pull The Plug podcast (although I’m hearing things about a 4th ;), is a singer/songwriter whose made delicious solo/acoustic music and currently fronts a wicked 90s-saluting rock band called The Wilt Aways. We chat about our shared history on CJIQ, what it’s meant to be a part of PTP podcast for so long with Shannon and Justin G, making music of course!, as well as 90s Batman flicks and grabbing a coffee for relaxing vinyl record-hunt walks. Ps: WTF, TDS is 100 episodes old! Farewell listeners! JK. A small congrats to m’self though, no celebration, other than the ongoing joy and satisfaction of making the podcast I want to make. A salute for those of us who would like to be rich, but aren’t motivated to make things only in order to become rich.
Chat with Justin Briner recorded over Zoom from Gjoa Haven NU to Ontario on November 28th, 2020. Recorded music: “Hereoes For Ghosts” by Justin Briner, “Silhouette of a Cigarette” by Justin Briner, “Mars” by The Wilt Aways, “Junk Bond Trader” by Elliot Smith & “Time” by The Wilt Aways. Voiceover by Milo Axelrod, theme music by William Chernoff, piano outro by JP Sunga, everything else by Todd Donald. Presented in part, by Afternoon Tea. afternoontealabel.com
