Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan has been indicted on charges of aiding and abetting an illegal immigrant. The indictment alleges that Judge Dugan used her position to obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts, reigniting debates about the role of local officials in immigration policy and enforcement.
DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard has reportedly dismissed several employees within her department, citing concerns that they were actively obstructing the implementation of policies aligned with the Trump administration’s agenda. Gabbard justified the firings by stating that government officials must work in service of the American people—not hinder duly elected leadership.
“These individuals were not aligned with the direction and priorities needed to move the country forward,” Gabbard reportedly stated. “There is no room for partisan sabotage or internal resistance within the ranks of public service.”
Her actions have drawn swift criticism from former CIA Director John Brennan, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump. Brennan voiced strong disagreement with Gabbard’s decisions, arguing that the removals undermine institutional integrity and could set a dangerous precedent for political loyalty tests within the federal workforce. “Tulsi Gabbard’s actions reflect a concerning shift toward authoritarian-style purges,” Brennan commented.
