Julie Andrews performs a splendid rendition of A Spoonful of Sugar in Mary Poppins. The main premise of the song is to have a little fun while performing tasks and the task will be more like fun rather than a tedious chore. I like to think of the chorus in the song as a metaphor where the sugar represents kindness and the medicine is any life situation that can be viewed as an opportunity to learn. Be mindful of the tone of your self-talk. We all tend to be less defensive when approached calmly and openly. You can approach yourself that way too. After all, how would you give medicine to your 3-year-old self?

The answer is in the question. Cheers! πŸ₯‚
