32 years have passed since the release of the first Jurassic Park movie, now a cinema classic. For today's episode, we are revisiting the original franchise through an animal rights perspective. As the multi-billion dollar bio-tech firm Colossal is seriously considering opening its own Jurassic Park - let's examine closely the impact and legacy of those 90s era movies.

To discuss this topic, I have with me Alex Ventimilla Sanchez, a professor of the English & Film Studies Dept of the University of Alberta. He is also part of the team behind the amazing egg-truth.com initiative. Among other things, I asked Alex: Why does our sense of wonderment towards animals makes us want to abuse them?; Do Vegans deceptively make animals appear like children?; Do we exploit animals because of our conditioning or human nature?
