NEHA HARISH

An architect at Collective Project and graduate of the RV College of Architecture, Neha is an avid architectural travel enthusiast, Carnatic singer, and basketball player. Her passion for culture, history, and material draws her closer to exploring contextually and collectively driven architectural endeavors through travel and art. Also a Co-flaneur at Three Flaneurs, an architectural design and travel collective, she is constantly looking to expand her design sensibilities across multiple scales. Neha is also a skilled illustrator with pen and ink as her medium. Instagram Handle: https://www.instagram.com/_neharish_/

REQUIEM FOR TOLERANCE: ARCHITECTURE & DISJUNCTION - REMAPPING DISPLACEMENT ON THE MARGINS OF GENOCIDE

This dissertation explores the role of placelessness in architecture. The memory of a human is largely and closely related to the place he once habituated. But what happens to these relations in the event of forced migrations due to natural climatic occurrences or socio-political conflicts? For a person constantly under the state of refuge in an unknown environment, his or her solace lies in memories of home. Therefore the project explores the architectural implications of the feeling of placelessness and loss of identity by highlighting the connections between architecture, place, and living memory.

This project is a recipient of

1. National Gold winner AYDA - Asia's young Designers Award – 2020

2. Regional Finalist COA - National Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Thesis – 2021

3. Honourable Mention - Mango Thesis Awards – 2020

4. Jury Commendation - Ethos! India Transparence 15.0 powered by Saint Gobain – 2020

THE VIVEK EADARA SHOW

Hi ! My name is Vivek Eadara and i am a student of Architecture. My love for Art, Travel and Photography made me realise my undying passion for Architecture. I have always loved having conversation with people who are just as passionate about architecture and travel as I am, and this podcast is just that. The idea of starting an Architecture Podcast series is an initiative to interact and create a dialogue with well-known industry professionals, emerging young Architects and aspiring architecture students to converse about one’s personal and professional experiences that may find way in helping others, areas of concern within the fraternity, some fun trivial chats and many more.
