Many of us are familiar with the concept of “the pandemic wall,” aka feeling like you’ve hit a point in the pandemic where you just don’t know how to continue, especially since — thanks to lingering vaccine hesitancy in the United States — we don’t really know when the COVID-19 pandemic is going to end. Add in the stress of climate change, political turmoil, human rights issues, and the war on women’s bodies, it comes as no surprise that depression rates have tripled since the start of the pandemic. And — with 67% of U.S. adults reporting increased stress levels according to the American Psychological Association — if you’re feeling like you’ve hit a wall, you’re definitely not alone.
In this week’s episode of The Wildest Podcast, I share about my own experience in feeling like I’ve hit a wall, what I’ve done to help cope with that feeling in the past, and different strategies you can use to help you move through this feeling in your own life.
