When it comes to mega projects, there are not many projects greater than the James Webb Space Telescope. This infrared observatory will complement and extend the discoveries of the Hubble Space Telescope, with longer wavelength coverage and greatly improved sensitivity.
Host, Dan MacGregor, is joined by Dr. Adrian Glauser, ETH Zurich Astrophysicist involved in the construction of the telescope. He explains the successes and challenges of this global mega project, how international teams with diverse ideas, languages and objectives are aligned and what the project means for future generations.
As NASA shared, "Webb’s design pushed the boundaries of space telescope capabilities to solve mysteries in our solar system, look beyond to distant worlds around other stars, and probe the mysterious structures and origins of our universe and our place in it. "
