From a Christian standpoint, they may never forgive a perpetrator, but self forgiveness for healing is absolutely essential, and it opens them up to receiving God's forgiveness. God has forgiven us, but sometimes we have to dare to forgive God for not being who we wanted God to be. Where was God in the midst of what I went through, right? Right. And that, and I told them, I said when we do this, when we use this prayer technique, that's the very first question I want you to ask him. And I want you to sit expecting an answer. And it's amazing. God, in all the years I've been using this model, God has never not shown up and has never not answered. Oh, that's powerful.
