TheDavidBowersAwards presents Smith Sisters "Somewhere Out There" Alzheimer's/Dementia Special
Manage episode 361687248 series 3226156
We previewed "Somewhere Out There," a touching and heart-wrenching song about Alzheimer's/Dementia from the victim's perspective, by Smith Sisters and The Sunday Drivers. Response was so overwhelming that we had to get the girls back to discuss the song, the writer and how it came together. This week we do that. Kelly of Smith Sisters joins us to share the song and introduce Harrolyn Black, widow of the songwriter 'Butch' Black, who wrote the song.
Join us in exploring the history of this moving masterpiece to the pain of Alzheimer's/Dementia as well as the story of the writer and how the song was conceived and finally brought to be shared with the public. Listen as as we talk with Kelly, Harrolyn and another special guest, Sharon Lia on this very special edition of TheDavidBowersAwards.
